RE: An M4 with a folding front sight and a holosight sight in back, so I need a rear BUIS.
1) Rear iron sight: Will a rear regular sight be in the way?
Do I need a folding one? folding -vs- fixed - whats best?
2) Center cowitness -vs- irons in "bottom 1/3rd" of holosight?
Whats best?
Thanks, Michael |

I prefer a folder because I don't like to cowitness if I don't have to. On the other hand, most people don't even know if they are sighted in with BUISs because they don't practice with them. With your rear sight up you may remove your optic and still be familiar with your same sight picture. If you want to practice with irons only, you can turn your sight off, too, instead of removing it. Having your cowitness in the bottom 1/3 of the sight means you need to raise your sight with a spacer (EOTech) or use slightly higher rings (Aimpoint). _________________ Aim Hard!
