DURDEN, IF THEY ARE THE ARE TRULY THE DURDEN SHADES, THEN THEY MUST SAY OLIVER PEOPLES OP-523. THOSE ARE THE MODELS. ONCE AGAIN FOR ALL THOSE WHO DONT KNOW YET.

OLIVER PEOPLES OP-523.
I EMAILED OLIVER PEOPLES, WHO TOLD ME THAT THEY WERE RELEASING THEM A SECOND TIME, IN LIGHT OF THE MOVIE. I LOOKED UP WHERE THERE WAS AN OLIVER PEOPLES DEALER IN MY TOWN. I WENT THERE AND SPECIFICALLY ORDERED THE OLIVER PEOPLES OP-523. I PERSONALLY CHOSE THIS COLOR FOR THE LENSES, BUT I COULD HAVE GOTTEN THEM ANY COLOR. IN ABOUT 2 WEEKS THEY ARRIVED AND I PICKED THEM UP. I PAYED ABOUT $330.00 IN 2000.

Hi guys,

Interesting thread you guys have going!

I myself have been "obsessing" over these glasses over the past few years. Well, a few months ago through endless phonecalls and know-how I have acquired two of the glasses from the movie. But now it's time to let them go.

Note that the OP-523 is in ORANGE color and is NEW WITH TAGS. I didn't dare even put try them on. They've been safe in storage ever since I got them. This is a wild claim, but I honestly think I'm one of the only people to have a pair in new, "sealed" condition.

Aeros are also like-new. Trust me guys, I went through a lot of shit to get it, so if you are looking for a pair, don't get your hopes up. I literally spent 45 minutes literally just LOOKING at the OP-523s because I couldn't believe I had them in front of me. It was quite the experience. lol

Anyway, I'm open to offers before I let these go on eBay. So if you're interested, drop me a line at tryandreadbetweenthelines @ gmail.com

You must be asking a fortune for them. lol. you sound like youre selling a vintage porshe speedster. i wonder if The fact that they havent been worn will make a difference. Im sure whoever wants the shades, is gonna wear them.

Alright, I've been getting a flood of emails asking for a price.

The "BIN" I'd put on ebay is 1200$

So for you guys, I'll leave it at 1100$ for the OP-523s and 350$ for the Aeros.

Again, if you want more pics, some close-ups of the "OP-523", logo or whatever, I'd be glad to do that.

the model is OP-523 made by Oliver Peoples. only about 300 models were ever, 80 of which are in the orange color. (I talked to a long-standing oliver peoples sales rep about this)

I had to make phonecalls to my friend in japan to get the glasses. (they are made there).

when i purchased them, i had the choice of which color lenses i wanted. damn i had no idea that there were only 300 made.

I have contacted a optic shop here in miami, who state that they will be able to provide me with new lenses for my shades. Im gonna get them in the " GOTHIC ROSE " color that durden had them. I wonder if they'll be cheepy cheepy, or the real deal.
