Hi
XR5 and XD4 are special Gen 2 tubes which will approach a gen 3 or gen 4 in performance in terms of resolution and image quality. An XR5, like a Gen 4, can be used by day. They are also priced similarly. _________________ ----------------------

Sorry, but I must disappoint you.
XD-4, XR-5 tubes or even Gen.4 filmless tubes are NEVER meant to be used during daylight conditions.
Any kind of nightvision image intensifier tube will take damage, if it is used under daylight conditions.
And trust me, I know exactly what I am talking about.
And in low-light conditions a good Gen.3 tube will be always up to 40% better in its resolution than a XR-5.
Actually the new Gen.4 will top the Gen.3 U.S. under low-light conditions at least at around 20% |
