| I have a new Bushnell reflector. When I set it up last night, the mirror looked quite dirty around the edges. (I shone a flashlight inside to look) Should I clean it? How? |

Hi
Standard advice on a mirror on a reflector is not to touch unless absolutely needed. Mirror cleaning should be once a year deal at most. Problem is that the mirror surface, in particular, the coatings, can scratch so very easily. Unless the mirror is robbing you of actual performance vs annoying dirt, don't touch.
To clean a mirror, an yway, usually requires dismounting from the mirror cell and then recollimating. If you are not prepared to do that, probably should leave it alone or get help from someone who knows how to collimate. |
