Hi

The Bushnell Speedster II Radar Speed Gun measures in both miles and kilometers, the Velocity only in miles.

Actually the Velocity does measure in km/h. Hold the trigger then briefly press the on/off button to toggle between mph and km/h

now im confused, do both of the bushnell guns read both mph and kph? if not which one does? also what would be the best gun for doing radar runs measuring the speed of a Snowmobile speeds up around 100-140 mph, and how much of an angle can you be at cuz i really dont want to be right in front of a 600lb object moving at me at like 120mph lol. Also do the guns work better on objects moving twards you or away from you?

Thx 4 ur time Very Happy

Hi

Both versions, the Velocity and Speedster II, now measure in both kmh and mph. (This function was added to the velocity for 07)

No real difference between the two in terms of performance, but keep the price in mind. These are inexpensive radar guns. Suggest you get as close as you can to the action and if you expect accurate readings, you should be not much more than 10-15 degrees off a straight line from the direction of motion. These will read coming or going away.

I just ordered the speedter 2 but it is still not clear if they are any different. The price appears to be about the same. So which is the better of the two or does it not matter. The II model uses 2 C batteries and the other one uses 6 double A's. That is the only diferrence I see.

Hi

The current version of the Velocity is identical to the Speedster II. The Speedster II is a special run of the Velocity made for OpticsPlanet, exclusively. Go with whichever is cheapest. They are the same gun.

one uses 3 volts
the other uses 9 volts.
wouldn't the 9 volt gun offer better range.

Also I was thinking of buying one of the newer police guns.
On your page you say you can use a battrey pack but I see no battrey pack option anywhere for the New Item
Decatur Genesis Handheld Directional Police Radar Gun 595$
Also the 89$ for a simple serial cable kinda put me off.
