Hello! My name is John, and I have some questions about two lights that I am carefully considering. One is the so called 24 watt hid flashlight from Magnalight. And the other is some small company called Black Bear flashlights that seems to resemble a Mag Light? I am seriously considering to buy the Ultrastinger from Optics Planet, but I want to wait to see if you guys will carry the 24 watt hid, or this Blackbear light, and are they as remarkable as they are advertised. Ido private security in a very dangerous, and dim lit area, and i need the brightest light that you can get for under 500 if possible. I appreciate if someone could steer me the right way, as im very nervous about information from online companies as I cant hold the product in my hand and see for myself.

Many thanks for your time and patience!! Smile

We have no plans at this time to offer the flashlight lines that you mentioned. The UltraStinger is not HID, but xenon, and offers up to 295 lumens. This is the brightest Streamlight available.

I TOO AM IN DARK DANGEROUS PLACES AND DID THE SAME SEARCH. I NOW OWN A BLACKBEAR BOREALIS 1050 ROLS ROYCE. THE DECISION WAS BASED ON OUTPUT, RUNTIME, AND (TO AN EXTENT) PRICE. THERE ARE NOW 35W HIDS THAT I AM LOOKING AT BUT ARE OUT OF YOUR RANGE AND THOUGH BRIGHTER, AREN'T INSTANT ON AND HAVE A HEAVY BLUE TINT COLOR (CHECK YOUTUBE). HID HAS ISSUES WITH BULB, BALLAST, AND BATTERY HEALTH. THE BOREALIS IS THE CULMINATION OF THE BEST ENGINEERED SOLUTIONS CREATING A HEARTY AND SIMPLE LIGHT (THAT PERFORMS WITH A LEVEL OF CARE AND FEEDING I AM COMFORTABLE WITH). THE BOREALIS LOOK IS GOOD FOR STEALTH AND FRESHING UP FROM EVERYDAY WEAR AND TEAR OR IF YOU "ACCIDENTALLY" FORCEFULLY "DROPPED" IT ON SOME_____.
