|
|
| On the cover of the August 25th-31st, 2007 Economist Magazine, Russian President Vladimir Putin presents a youthful, confident image that is notable for his designer level sunglasses and suit. Are the glasses Serengeti? For clues, I'm looking at the double bridge that is widely spaced, the thicker temples and the dark lenses. |

I saw this picture. Well Putin looks pretty stylish. I'm sure he is wearing an Italian suit and most likely Italian sunglasses Do you think these are Serengeti sunglasses? I would say these are Ray Bans ... |

Yeah, who does his suits? Whew! The Italian designer's Italian designer! Do you think his wife does his shopping? For some reason, I get the feeling he can spot a quality weave a kilometer away.
Last night on the BBC, they were showing their stock footage of the President at a recent air show that happened around the time the Economist came out. In the clip, he's wearing some head-turning sunwear, but I don't think they're the same as those in the magazine spread. In the video, I could see the glasses from different angles. I hate to say it, but it made them look like Serge Sputniks.
Which Ray-Bans do you think they are?
Because of the shape, double bridge and wider temples, I thought they might be Serengeti Paolo. However, I now think they're a Dolce And Gabbana like the D&G 6024. |
