I'm on my second pair of Crosshairs from Oakley. I just love them. My first pair was the VR28s w/ Chrome. And my Second pair is a Custom set w/ The Amber Black Iridium Polarized. That lens is rated at %18 and has been really good to me over the last year. They have however gotten a couple of scratches on them. ( not enought to drive me crazy just a few)
So today I went in to replace them and came out w/ the Oakley Titanium Polarized Lens. (12-871) They color of them went perfect w/ the frame and they only had %12 light transmission. I really did not want to go as low as 10% so this was perfect.
My question is... What is the "Titanium" part of the lens? Just the name of the tint?
Yeah I just bought the Titaium Polarized lens to go w/ my chrome frame. I must say I think it's a sweet looking combo. And I'm real happy w/ the lens it's self as well. I'll still use my amber polarized lens for MTB riding because you're in the shade a lot.
Although there's some shade when you MTB, I think the polarization adds image sharpness and makes you feel like you're seeing everything as you ride. The greens of the brush really stand out. Arnette sun glasses have their roots in in being eyewear designed with sports in mind. They combine style with performance, protection and durability. Of course, Spy Optic is a well known logo on the MX circuit.
