i am a biginner and want a good clear image of planets and some deep sky objects and im looking at 2 models that seem similiar except the price. The Celestron NexStar 80 SLT Telescopes 22086 and the meade ds-2080lnt goto (20087) models...with the prices over 100 dollars different is it worth it to get the celestron?i want decent images of jupiter saturn mars etc. thank you

Hi

Optically, you won't see any significant difference in these two. It's mostly of brand preference and minor differences in the computerization and, even then, both very similar. In essence, a Ford vs Chevy kind of choice (don't ask me which one is which). Really can't make a mistake with either one if you are looking for an 80mm computerized refractor.
