gen 2 and above exporting

does anybody know if gen 2 and above will ever be available for sale to canada. i recently bought a gen 1 night cougar but would have rather bought something better. i dont understand the ban

thanks for the reply furtunately i have found a supplier in canada that sells gen 2 and up. he has no restrictions to sell in canada or usa. see why i mean this export law makes no sense.

Hi, actually you can buy Gen.2, Gen.3 and Gen.4 IIT units in europe.

And it should not be a problem to export them to Canada.

The U.S.still have their ITAR regulations.
So to export Gen.3 from the U.S.affords a special governments licence for departments or military units
and even then you are only allowed to import image intensifiers up to FOM 1600.
