looking for the best features under $250 for a novice viewer

Is there a product that exists that has both the capability of viewing biological items like blood and also larger items like crystals rocks... a microscope with both compound and stereoscopical capablilities? Also with the capability of connecting to a camera or computer?

Not at that kind of price, no. In theory, you could build a compound microscope with a dissecting microscope capability and vice versa, but really quite different optical systems designed with different applications in mind. No, at this price you will have to make a decsion or purchase seaprate microscopes.
