Over two months ago I ordered a Celestron CG5 (noncomputerized) mount from your web site. At the time of the order, I was notified that the mount was backordered and expected to be available in two weeks. Since then I have emailed your support people twice and been told that Celestron is saying they will ship them "soon".
I don't mind waiting a bit longer if the mounts really are going to be available, but I'm starting to have doubts. After searching around, it appears that nobody is selling the noncomputerized version anymore. So . . .
1. Are you REALLY going to get them "soon"?
2. What does "soon" mean? It's been two months and counting.
3. What's the holdup? Are they caught up in all the furor over toxic Chinese products or something?
4. Has anybody at Optics Planet contacted Celestron to get answers to any of these questions? (If not, maybe somebody should do so.)
5. If all else fails, can you strip the computer stuff off of a computerized mount in order to make good on the sale?
Sorry if any of that sounds testy. As I said, I don't mind waiting a bit longer if I really am going to get the product, but at this point I'm not sure what to think. Thanks for any help you can offer. |

Sorry about the ordering and shipping problems you are having. We can answer product questiosn, here, but we don't have the resopurces to track down oreders or delivery issues. I will forward this to our Customer Service manager and have him contact you ASAP.
