When buying a telescope, you should keep in mind that the image you see may be upside down or reversed right to left or both. This is not an issue when doing astronomy and, in fact, many star maps and moon maps are printed upside down to accommodate this telescope feature.
Depending on the type of telescope, you may be able to add an image erecting prism, but you must first determine the type opf telescope - refractor, reflector and so on as well as the size of the eyepieces or diagonal used.
