My daughter has been wanting a telescope for Christmas where do I begin? I know nothing about telescopes. Embarassed

The best place to begin is a basic article I wrote for beginners.

See my article How to choose the right telescope Keep in mind, though, that no telescope is suitable for a 7 year old without some help from an adult.
