I want to suprise my former marine/current seabee with some NV device for x-mas. I was looking at the ATN night storm vision waterproof as well as the Night Owl Night Vision Explorer Marine Pro 5x Waterproof. My price range is 200 - 300MAX MAX but I want to get the most bang for my buck. My husband is a dirt monger though so whatever I get has to be tough. I'm not sold on either one of the devices I mentioned, I just noticed they are waterproof and thought that must mean tough. I'm open to all suggestions. Please help!!

Hi,

The Night Owl will work well, but I would personally go for the Yukon NVMT 3x42 Sea Wolf monocular. This waterproof night vision monocular has many accessories available such as a head mount and a camera adapter, and can be mounted to a rifle with the rifle mount conversion kit.
