A polarized, mirrored aviator is a tough one.

The Ray-Ban Aviator is available as a standard mirrored or as a photochromic mirrored.

Mirrored is not offered for the standard Serengeti Aviator.

We were wondering why polarized-mirrored is not common. The only reason we could think of is that, since a mirror finish scratches more easily, people may not want that if they are spending more for better name sunglasses.

There are some possibilities if you want to spend more and order Prescription Sunglasses. If you don't wear prescription, just order uncorrected lenses.

The Serengeti Aviator with Prescription Lens is available with a flash mirror finish when you order the Sedona tint lens. A flash mirror is not a full mirror but it cuts down glare and people can't see your eyes when they look at you. Also, the flash mirror does notr scratch as easily. Be sure to indicate on the order form that you want the flash mirror finish.

A number of the designs of Bolle Sunglasses are aviator influenced. If you order from Bolle Prescription Sunglasses, a choice of mirror finish colors is an option and many of the lens are available as polarized. See the Bolle Troost and Bolle Prospect.

Keep us informed of what you find out and which sunglasses you get!

I'm also looking for polarized mirrored aviators. I found some that appear to be what I'm looking for but I'm not sure if I trust it. Do you think these are the real deal?

In the picture, the sunglasses don't look bad. I have seen less substantial mirrored aviators.

However, I am not familiar with the name on the label. Also, the warranty is only 90 days! Mirrors can scratch.

D&G by Dolce and Gabbana has a number of nice-looking Aviators. They're the most fresh designs that I have seen of the current Aviator Sunglasses. I didn't find a mirror but the gradient tints have a mirror look and, I think, they look better than mirrors.

My favorite is the D&G DD6026 Sunglasses but also see the D&G DD6020 Sunglasses.

There are a number of other aviator influenced styles so check out our great prices on the whole collection of authentic D&G Sunglasses!

We are an authorized dealer of the sunglasses we sell and we have the best selection of Aviator Sunglasses.
