I just ordered a Celestron 4SE and ive recently read about how lousy it is and how you get very unclear views.
Is this true? Will I be able to see planets like mars, jupiter or saturn with a good view? and what are the farthest objects i'll be able to see with it |

Hi
Any telescope, even a small telescope, can see planets (rings of Satrun, cloud belts of Jupiter). craters and mountains on the moon and also brighter galaxies, nebulae and star clusters. In other words, a small telescope can see exactly the same types of objects as a large telescope, but a small telescope won't see as many of these objects and it
won't allow you to see much detail in them.
The 4SE is a reasonably good scope for the price. No, it won't rival the views of a more expensive telescope, but with the right eyepieces will get you started nicely. _________________ Thanks for posting with us
