Hi

We don't carry Orion, but they are very popular telescopes. we do have a similar scope in the celestron *" Starhopper, http://www.opticsplanet.net/celestron-star-hopper-8-dobsonians-telescope.html

2" eyepieces are needed when you wish to combine long focal lengths and wide fields of view. The smaller lenses in 1.25" eyepieces simply cannot handle some of these combinations. In a short focal ratio scope like a Dob, you won't need to go to a 2" eyepiece to achieve low power, but having a focuser that can accomodate both 1.25" and 2" eyepieces is an advantage, because it gives you the option of using some of the wonderful premium 2" eyepieces on the market.
