I bought this pair of NV googles on Ebay and I can't figure out what model they are! They say "made in Russia" on the back.

They take two AA batteries and I'm having trouble activating the IR Illuminator which I'm assuming is the middle tube that sits above the optics. And I'd like to be able to clean the lens and/or find an instruction book.

Can anyone help me?

If it works at all, you win. Doubtful you'll get it repaired. Too big for a paperweight, too light for a boat anchor.

Hi there,
these are Seben "Commando" goggles.
They´re using really cheap low quality glass tubes in gen.1.

I think your problem is, that they generate a really milky picture.
That is not a dirt problem, it is a tube problem.
You will not be getting a better image.

Usually on top of the "middle tube" should be a little switch to turn on the IR-illuminator.
The goggles as itself should produce a thin high level noise, when switched on.

And Stephen L is absolutelly right. Forget to consider a repair. It is not worth the money.
