I need a pair of aviator sunglasses or a frame in a size 60 with a 22 bridge. I have been wearing the Luxottica Carlos frame for the last 25 years or so, but they have stopped making it with a 22 bridge. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

It's too bad the Carlos are no longer available from Luxottica. Many of our customers who wear Aviator Sunglasses, such as Serengeti Aviators and Ray Ban Aviators, are like you and have relied on the style for many years. The aviator is such a classic and our Aviator Sunglasses page has our complete collection from all of the top Designer Sunglasses brands.

The Serengeti Aviator is available in small, medium and large sizes. The medium and large have the lens size but the bridge may be too small. I noticed on the aviators I wear that the bridge is narrow because the lens curves in above the nose.

Ray Ban Sunglasses and Ray Ban Aviators are legendary, and they are also available in small, medium and large. Once again, the medium and large have the lens size, but the bridge may not be what you want.

The closest match we could find is the Mongrel from Bolle with a 58mm lens and 22mm bridge. The Bolle Mongrel Sunglasses feature interchangeable lens and, along with being available as non-Rx sunglasses, are available with prescription lens as the Bolle Prescription Mongrel Sunglasses with single vision Rx and Bolle Progressive Rx Mongrel Sunglasses with no-line bi-focal lens. Bolle excels at sunglasses for sports and the Bolle Mongrel is a model we often recommend as Tennis Sunglasses that feature the Bolle Competivision Lens, especially for tennis players who need Prescription Sunglasses.
