Best telescopes for 800-900$

I'm looking for an 8"-10" apperatus but can be transported fairly easily but if this brings down on what i can view I really don't want that. I want something thats more inbetween not those two extremes.

Hi

Any 8' or 10" telescope will require some disassembly to transport and I wouldn't describe anything that size as truly portable. A Dobsonian is about as easy and simple to transport as anything that size - I've even managed to get a 10" in a compact car (don't ask how). Fork mounted SCTs are not too bad, either. We get my friends LX90 in the back of her SUV no problem. Equatorial mounts are heavy and require the most disassembly. I always groan when faced with the prospect of moving these around.
