I have an older but seldom used Meade 390 telescope with a Meade MA25mm eyepiece.
This has always been sufficent until last night when I wanted to see Saturn and the rings. It was like a dot of course but I did see it and the rings.
I am interested in getting some additional eyepieces and filters but $$ is a factor as I seldom use my telescope
I was looking at your Zhumell kit (http://www.opticsplanet.net/zhumell-eyepiece-and-filter-kit.html) for $119.00. Is this compatible with my Meade telescope and how would you rate the quality. what if anything will I be giving up in quality??
That or a similar kit will be fine for your telescope, as long as your telescope uses 1.25" eyepieces and you should make sure before ordering. A lot of older models used the smaller barrel diameter .965" (one inch) barrel diameter eyepieces. If your scope uses .965" eyepieces, you are going to have some headaches finding eyepieces and accessories, as this is an obsolete size. _________________ Thanks for posting with us
