Rangefinders have become more common for taking distance measurements in caves. The most popular models are the Leica A3 and A5. However, I am looking for a rangefinder that has more distance capability, at least 300m (the A5 advertises 200m, but that rarely is achievable), less accuracy (I only need about +/- 1m), and less expensive. Any suggestions?

Other than the Leica DISTO products, you can also use the Laser Technology Trupulse 200 which will give you straight line distance and height, or the Laser Technology Trupulse 360 which adds azimuth measurements.
