My grandfather has a Jason 400x telescope made by busnell, and all its lenses are well missing... ....and I just wanted to know what type of quality is it, I mean should replace the lenses? After all its for an amature astronomy hobby...or just say ah foohey and see about getting a new telescope? |

Hi
The short answer is no. Replacing eyepieces on inexpensive telescopes is seldom cost effective. For what you will spend on the two or three eyepieces needed to do astronomy, you can buy a brand new telescope complete with all parts including mount, tripod, eyepieces, finder scope, instruction manual and so on.
If you simply wish to keep the scope for sentimental reasons, that is another matter, but proceed with caution. If your scope uses the older, obsolete .965" eyepieces, you are also going to have issues finding this size. _________________ Thanks for posting with us
