Long shutter time with Pentax CS-205 switch?

I need to take pictures with long shutter time. Will this switch allow me to "lock" the shutter and release it later, at my convenience?

Hi

This is a remote cable. It will give you the same functons as your camera. If your camera has a bulb setting (locks shutter open), you get a bulb setting when using the release. If your camera does not have a bulb setting, you will not get one by adding the release.
