Hi

Here's a couple of my articles which will help get you started. Bottom line in digiscoping, though, as far as pic quality, is the optical quality of the spotting scope. Buy the very best spotting scope you can afford, and for digiscoping, ED, HD, APO and fluorite models are best. Nearly any of the current small digital point and shoot cameras will work.

For the latest update on digiscoping, including recommendations on spotting scopes, cameras and adapters, see my article Digiscoping 2008 Update

For more on the basics on spotting scopes, you might also want to see my article at What is a Spotting Scope?

Hi

The Prostaff is superior in every way and it also offers other optional eyepieces. Easily the best of these.

Hi

No, Nikon does not offer an SLR adapter for this scope, but digital point and shoot cameras are better choices for digiscoping than SLRs.

Hi

Sorry, we don't carry Nikon cameras, so can't comment, but any small digital point and shoot will do a good job. The spotting scope is far more important.
