Hi--I'm liking these little bins for all around use. I like the lack of weight and size. Any others I should consider in the $250 or less range? Am I giving much up to the 8x42s?
That's a great choice. No, you really aren't giving up much with a 36mm objective. Will still offer plenty of image brightness and resolution. _________________ Thanks for posting with us

Am I being a little foolish to think the 8x36 bino is that much smaller? Should I just get the 42s that seem to be the most popular for everyone? If I drop down to $200 for the Diamondback, do I lose much against the Monarch?
Thanks so much for your replies. I know you get the same questions over and over...
It's not going to be much smaller, but you will notice the difference in the hand. Just depends on what you want to handle and only you can decide that.
No, I don't think you lose a great deal by dropping down to the Diamondback. Fine binoclar for the money, but not quite up to the Nikon in terms of overall quality. _________________ Thanks for posting with us
