The SP is better optically and mechanically by a good margin.

Thank you for your reply. Would you say that the Zeiss 8 x 30 B-MC Diafun is on the same par as the Nikon 8x36 Monarch ATB.

Hi

The Daifun is a low end Zeiss and if you want the Zeiss name, this is the most affordable option. However, I would actually prefer the Monarch if we just wanted to talk performance.
