I just got my new Yardage Master 800, but there are no crosshairs and half of the LCD numbers don't work. I can't read the yardage at all.

Will this sort itself out? The battery light is not on, but will a fresh one help? Or is this something that needs to either be returned to you or Simmons?

My Simons 1000 had the same problem. I returned it and the 2nd unit had the same problem. Now Optics Plannet personnel tell me my 30 day period is over and I must resolve it with Simons. However Simons doesnt return calls or emails.

BUYERS BEWARE. Simons suff appears to be substandard, and neither Optics Plannet or Simons will resolve the issue. DONT THROW YOUR $ AWAY!!!

I have used my Yard Master 800 only two times and also have the same problem with no crosshairs and only part of the display segments lighting up. Of course I did not save my receipt, so it is not covered under warranty, and now Meade/Simmons wants me to pay $85.00 to have it repaired. Meade/Simmons customer service is also a joke. One of the times I tried to get ahold of them I was put on hold and told I had a 52 minute wait to talk to a service rep.
I also bought a 3X9X40 Simmons rifle scope at the same time and it will not zero in. Of course with their limited lifetime warranty they want $85.00 to fix/replace it also.
If OpticsPlanet can not help me with another receipt for my purchase, which I really don't consider their responsibility, I'm going to eat my losses and trash both items and buy a Nikon like I should have done in the first place. My payback will be by informing everyone I can on the junk that Simmons sells and of the poor customer service when a customer does get sucked into buying their junk.

Good Luck with all of that...

I have a Simmons 1000 that I have only used a few times and the bottom lens appears to be pushed causing the inside to appear blue and the LED is now hardly visible on bright sunny days I can almost use it...

NO luck with Simmons at all... One way or another they are going to get it back..
