I was looking at both of these, and I would like your opinion on which you think would be better for Deer Hunting. Also is it true that the New Monarch binoculars come with Zeiss lenses? Trying to find out if this was true or just BS that the salesman was telling me to sell me some binos. Thanks

Hi

That's a new on on me. I doubt seriously Nikon has to outsource any of their lenses. They've always made their own. The Monarch is made in Nikon's China factory. It's a great bino for the money and has always been the best seller at its price point, but the Pentax DCF SP represents the next plateau of quality and performance. The SP is the better binocular in terms of resolution and brightness.

The Pentax is probably a little more durable, but both have good warranties.
