Is the Kowa with a 21x eyepiece better optical quality than the Bushnell even without Prominar ED lens and would the Kowa 663 with 20x lens be far superior

Hi

The Kowa will be brighter, though the Bushnell might have a slight edge in resolution at the higher magnifications. However, the Kowa 823M is no longer made. I would rate the Kowa 663 with a 20-60x zoom to be a better scope than either in terms of resolution and sharpness.
