Hi Joanie - After much research, I'm still confused abut spotting scope tripods - maximum load 11 lbs then the head states 5 lbs. Quick release no quick release. Good grief!
What would be your recommendation(s) for a full size tripod that will be used primarily in the outdoors and weather conditions sometimes windy for a TSN 773? I'm looking for stability of the tripod and fast attachment to the tripod head if possible.

Any info you could give me will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hi

Don't read so much into published load ratings. They are designed with cameras in mind and do not translate into anything useful for spotting scopes. A QR plate, though, is a no brainer and a standard feature on any good tripod.

Absolutely any of the Bogen kits on our website, starting with the 055XDB, 128RC for $220 are a good match. Beyond this one, you are paying for smoother heads, conveninece features and carbon leg options, but the 055XDB, 128RC will offer all the stability you need.
