| Is the Meade DS2080 suitable for both land and sky viewing? I live in Washington State where there are lots of mountain peaks to view from a distance...would the DS2080 work? |

Hi
Definitely. A refractor, such as the 2080, when used with the supplied star diagonal, will produce upright, but reversed right to left images. You can further correct this to proper right and left orientation with the addition of an optional image erecting prism, though many people choose to use the telescope with the supplied diagonal, even for day use. Note, however, that when used without a star diagonal or optional image erecting prism, images in a refractor will be upside down. _________________ Thanks for posting with us

| another question regarding this, is this used in conjunction with the eyepiece the DS2080 comes with or is it used instead of that eyepiece. There's so much to know about telescopes |
