Hi All, new to this site and after reading many great articles here, just want to clear up an issue I now cannot find on the search. I get the difference in weight, glass fronts, clarity, etc. But I recall a thread mentioning that collimating ( if ever necessary) is more easily accomplished with one rather than the other. Can someone please help with this? Thanks in advance

Hi

The winner is an SCT on this one. You can collimate right at the secondary via adjustment screws. Only way to collimate a Mak is on the primary mirror and that usually means sending the scope in for servicing.
