|
|
| I have a Tikka T3 Lite Stainless in 7mm Rem Mag and wish to mount a VX III 3.5-10X50 Silver Leupold scope. The rifle comes with rings. My question is, what base is best (in silver color) for this combination and where can I obtain it?[/b] |

| I have the Stainless Tikka T3 lite as well. It doesn't need a mount, the rail is built right into the receiver and it comes with its own special set of rings to go to that rail that are very strong. Did you not notice the groove in the top of the receiver? My rifle came with the rings already set in that groove so as to make it noticeable. You should not need a "mount" at all. Just drop the scope into the rings on the rail and tighten up (use loctite of course). |

| Gah, didn't think that's what the grooves were for for some reason. Was sure I needed a mount but curious as to why they would ship with only rings...haha! Thanks for the reply! |

Yes the rings are designed specifically for those groove, you can slide the rings to exactly where you want them and its a great and very sturdy set up. Sako doesn't fool around.
Big Squeeze I have to pull the my rifle's better than your's line. But I'll forgive you That Tikka T3 (Sako make's it there name is on the box) is just danged awesome rifle. I measured the triggle pull at about 3.7 lbs (average of 3 pulls). It shoots so easy its like cheating.
Go Big, don't use nothing other than what that rifle came with to mount your scope, just remember that little dab of blue loctite on the screws.
After sighting mine in I was putting 3 shots into the size of a nickel at 100 yards, all hot and dirty. |
