Vortex Stokes DLS -vs- Vortex Razor 10X42

I've had good luck with Vortex products, and am interested in these two. Any insights would be appreciated - I will use for birding. Thanks.

Hi

It's going to primarily be a matter of body style on these two, which translates into handling. Optically, pretty close. We don't carry the DLS, but Stokes is the Vortex sponsored birding series and always reliably good stuff. Really your call.

I compared these two today. The DLS was very nice. After comparing the two, they are very close as far as the optics go, but the focus on the razor felt cheap and the DLS was as nice as any of the top three.

That's been my experience, too. Much prefer the focusing and handling, personally, on the Stokes.
