i have swarovski el 10 X42 bino
as well as bushnell elite2 10X43 bino
nikon fieldscope 80mm
panasonic lumix fz18
nikon d80 slr

question: what is involved in digiscoping with either the slr or the panasonic? i think i'll need different adapters for each camera, but only want to buy 1. i guess my best bet would be to use the slr nikon.
can i buy a non-nikon adapter? i think they would be alot of money, from what i've seen.

also, what tripod would you suggest?
thanks

Hi

Actually, go with the SLR as a last resort. I am not a fan of SLRs for digiscoping. A good digital point and shoot will produce just as good a pic and be much easier to use in the field and will produce less vignetting than an SLR. Stay with a small digital of no more than 3x or 4x optical zoom.

As for adapters, you can use any brand of small digital point and shoot with any spotting scope, such as your Nikon Fieldscope, with a universal adapter, such as Alpen 706 or the Nikon. [[/url]
