It's been very educational reading all these posts!
I believe I've narrowed my pending purchase choice down to one of these two models. A couple years back my Bausch & Lomb Elite 10x42 was stolen but I really enjoyed them while I had them. I've read very good evaluations for both the Viper and the E2. Can anyone offer some imperical advice regarding these two models? The paper specs suggest that the Viper is slightly better than the E2 with FOV, weight, and eye relief - but I certaily understand that paper specs can be misleading.
Thanks in advance!

Hi
Too close to call on this one. I love the E2 and would regard it as the closest thing you will get to the old B&L Elite, which I also loved. The Viper is no slouch, though. I'd try to get them both in your hands, but can't make a mistaske on either one. _________________ Thanks for posting with us

Thanks for quick reply! I was afraid you might say that. I was hoping for an easy way out and have a clear winner between the two. Maybe I'll call around locally and see if any place carries them and give them each a try.
Or..... Maybe I'll just jump right in and pick one. Decisions, decisions...
