Hello,

I have an older c90 spotting scope and was looking for a quality eyepiece and tripod for astro usage. What is your reccomendation?

Hi

Check eyepiece size on your C90. If it is the obsolete .965", instead of the current 1.25", you are not going to find eyepieces, let alone quality eyepieces, without a fight. If you are stuck with .965", you should start shopping used. If it is 1.25", any high grade Plossl, such as a Televue, Meade 5000 and so on will do a good job.

You can use any photo tripod, but any Bogen kit is an excellent choice, but, if not in your budget, try the Nikon 848.
