I am looking for a scope to put on Rem 700 308 for out to approx 500 yards. I would prefer to have side focus. has to have mil dot and would prefer to have it illuminated. This is going to operational for a Police Department, you input is appriciated.

IVe found that the nightforce optics scopes work well the 5.5-22 x 50 NXS
from there line looks like it could get the job done. but you are looking at over 1600 dollars for somthig like that. it has all your needs except the illuminated reticle
