Hello all. I bought the Streamlight 69118 InfraRed Flip Top Filter for my TLR-2 and my existing NV equipment can barely see the beam. Would be nice to know in future what wavelength, in nanometers (nm), do various IR light/filters output/allow? Some of my IR beacons put out specific wavelengths of 530-550nm, 875nm or 950nm. For interoperability, specific wavelength numbers would be helpful.

This information is not provided. If you want to try to wrestle it out of someone you'll have to contact the manufacturers. Good luck.

Another thing to remember is that LEDs do not emit much light in the infrared spectrum. IR filters are much more effective with an incandescent bulb than an LED. You will be able to get some use from your TLR anr IR filter, but not as much as with an Insight Technology M6 or M6X.

Found out from several places online about the relative incompatibility between LED's and IR filters.

So apparently I now have a $20 TLR-2 lens cap Wink

Not a prob, will just get an IR illuminator.

Thanks again for all the responses.

Regards,

Eric
