Hi All,
A few weeks ago I rec'd your C130 package with the Alt-Az tripod. While I am very pleased with the scope, the mount leaves a bit to be desired. As long as I keep the elevation limited to under 40 degrees or so all is fine. However, when switchng to a steep incline, say around 70, it is difficult for the scope to remain in that position without giving in to gravity and approaching 90 degrees. And I am cranking down on the limiting nut until it seems not to turn any further.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Bruce G |

| As a "plan B" question, can a new C130 be mounted to a CG-5 mount and tripod? There seem to be quite a few for sale out there. The normal equatorial model if not the go to model. |

| Thanks Joanie, might you know if your company still carries any? I'm not ready for the Go/To model yet. |

Hi Bruce
Sorry, that option is no longer available from Celestron. Gotta buy it with the computer, these days. Guess they just weren't selling enough of the manual versions. Of course, you don't have to use the computer on a CG5-GT. You can always turn it off and just use the mount, manually. _________________ Thanks for posting with us
