How does the Leupold VX I compare to the older Vari x scopes and to the VX II?

The VX-I has better coatings than the old Vari-X-I, and the VX-II has the more advanced Multicoat 4 coatings as well as click adjustments and a fast focus eyepiece. The VX-I has friction adjustments.
