My son and I shoot two 22-250s currently mounted with low-end ($119) scopes (Tasco 6-24 1/8 MOA dot). The scopes actually do very well and have decent clarity at 24x and hold their center. What we don't like are the thick cross hairs. We are seeking a duplex reticle with thinner hairs in a more moderate level scope and have considered the Swift 6-24 50mm for approx. $250. We have heard little about these scopes. Any recommendations? We are trying to stay under $300 -350 and want to stick with 6-24x. We also like the sunshades witht he Tascos.
The Swift Premiers are good "middle of the road" scopes and are a big step up from your Tasco scopes. Swift has been around since the 1920's and makes a lot of optical instruments besides riflescopes such as microscopes. I own a few and am happy with them, as I am with my similar Tasco scopes. You get what you pay for. The Swift also includes a four inch sunshade. I'll have the webpage include that information. _________________ Aim Hard!
