Pentax DCF WP II comparables

I have a great opportunity to pick these up new for about $300...is that a good deal? What other binoculars should I be comparing this glass to? They are made in China...is that bad or good?

Made in China, in terms of optice, is neither good nor bad. Price is always the best indicator of quality and performance in a binocular. These will compare, favorably, with any other $300 and the $300 price point is the most competitive price point in the binocular market. Simply no way to list all the binoculars at this price, but the Nikon Monarch has traditionally been the best selling binocular at this price point. The Pentax is quite comparable.
