Can't Decide: Nikon Monarch ATB or Bushnell Elite E2 (8x42)

Hi ...

I'm wanting to pick up a nice set of binoculars for my wife to take while on vacations for various animal viewing ... along with birding in the back yard ... and maybe my occasional hunting trip, auto race, etc ...

Not looking to break the bank, so I've be trying to do some online research and I think that I've narrowed my search to the Nikon Monarch ATB and the Bushnell Elite E2, both in the 8x42 flavor ...

So, would you agree that either of these would be fine for my needed purpose? If I spent the extra $ would the Bushnell set really be better than the Nikon?

Hi

Both are excellent choices, but optics and construction are better on the E2. if you can afford it, I would go with the Bushnell.
