second port on the Bushnell Northstar

I have a Bushnell 4 inch M/C with Northstar. I noticed that there are two ports. one port for the Northstar computer and one is for ???

What is it for and can I connect it to my computer for control??

According to Bushnell, the port is for downloading updates to the firmware/data base.

Whether it will ever be made accessible by the user for field upgrades and whether it can be used to conrol the mount or for any other function they wouldn't say.
