Hi Trent

We don't carry that line of scopes, but hopefully some of our regulars can help on this one.

Why? Why spend the money on a good rifle, be willing to pay for premium non standard caliber ammo, and then want to go with such a cheap scope. Ranburr, next time don't hold back, tell em what you really think.

I am at a total loss why people think that the lowest possible cost optics will be of any value on a rifle that they want to shoot 2, 3, 4 hundred yards, take a pounding from the high power of the caliber chosen and think it will suffice (work).

Look at it this way friends out there with limited income. What you may potentially save in the cost of a scope will cost you plenty down the road in wasted ammo costs, in trips to the shooting range to sight in the rifle, over and over again, never getting good results, blaming the rifle and yourself (you should blame yourself) for not holding good groups. Try to go hunting and waste money and your efforts to shoot at something you can't really see and will most probably miss or worse maim and have to make several shots to finally put the animal down. I can't see spending $12.00 per trip to the range let alone twenty plus bucks for a box of 20 rounds to sight in a rifle scope that isn't going to hold true, be trustworthy when I really need it and isn't all that clear to begin with, with lousy low light (end of the hunting day) capabilities.

Rule #1. Buy the best dang scope you can buy for the caliber and function of the rifle you are buying. You bought a 300 Win MAG. It needs quality optics to go on top of it or you will be paying for it trip after trip to the range of the field with bad results and repeating the process.

Rule #2. If you can't afford a scope that costs at least 1/2 the price of the gun, you really couldn't afford the gun. Because a high power rifle is nothing without the sighting device. Just a steel tube with a firing mechanism.

Rule #3. If you aren't serious about the optics you put in the rifle, you weren't really serious about your shooting.

If you can't afford a good scope now, wait until you saved up the cashola to buy something worth having. Even if someone gave you a free low budget (add some colorful words here) scope, you would be better off not accepting it and wasting your time with it in the long run than to think you are going to mount it on a high power rifle and get any serioius results out of it. Save your money. Buy a Bushnell Elite as a minimum or a Burris, or stay home.

No apologies for saying it like it is. Gary

Thank-you VERY much, Gary. My job would be much easier if more customers heeded your advice. It's always been a mystery to me why some people think optics is the place to shave a few bucks off their hunting or shooting budget.

Your more than welcome Joanie. If your sales jump up, I want a new 4X12 Bushnell Elite 4200 something something series scope.
However, some how my pyschic powers tell me nothing will change.

Way to get heated up their fellows, a simple yeah thats another chinese pile of crap would have sufficed. Knowledge is power, if you dont know what the brand is about you have to ask, heaven knows I dont want to get a pile of crap thats why I asked. But like you mentioned cost is a factor so I guess I should hold out till I see a Leupold Mark4 #56130 drop below $500, hmm what are the odds of that happening before summer?
But will consider the Burris or maybe even Bushnell but even their quality is degrading some.
Oh ps granted my old 300 savage isnt a big kicker but my pre-chinese Tasco 3x9 Lumina has lasted a hard to believe 12 years without a glitch. I guess you get lucky sometimes.

Thanks For the Info

How do you figure that Burris and Bushnell's quality is degrading? Everything that Burris makes is of good to very good quality. Bushnells are good to very good as long as you stick to the 3200 and 4200 Elites. I would say that both companies are currently offering the best quality in their histories.
