I'm looking for a quality Target-Varmint scope for my new A-Bolt Varmint Stalker in .223 Rem.. I bought the Zeiss 3-9x40 Conquest for my ruger .243 last month. What a scope, very bright. But when I compare it to my Nikon 3-9x40 Buckmaster or my Bushnell 10x40 Elite 3200, they are dark and not as bright as the zeiss. My question is is the Nikon Monarch scopes as bright or close to as bright as the zeiss? Owning this Varmint rifle, I wanted to get the Nikon 5.5-16.5x44 Monarch or the Nikon 6.5-20x44 Monarch but hope there's brighter than the buckmaster or buckmaster or 3200 bushnell.
Thanks'Chris

The Monarch is going to be good, but a step below the Conquest. A closer competitor would be a Bushnell Elite 4200. The Conquest will still be better, but the 4200 is close and cheaper.
