Hi everyone,
I am thinking of getting Serengeti Velocity but I am not sure if they are as good as they boast.. I have used my previous sunglasses (Ray Ban predator) for many years and as I will try to do the same with the new ones; I am shopping for a sturdy and quality glasses that don't lose their properties with time.. Any suggestions would be very welcome. Thanks.

Hi

Serengeti is as good as it gets in quality. You may pay more for more
"hip" fashion name brands, but you won't get better quality.

I've had mine for 5 years and are holding up as if they were brand new. Very solid frame. As for lenses, I can't tell you...I had Rx lenses put in day one. Would buy again.

I too, am considering the purchase of the Serengeti Velocity.

I had a pair of medium gradient Aviators several years ago and they were quite sturdy and optically perfect. However, the temple arms were so long, they didn't fit properly. The curved part went way past my ears and irritated the back of my head. I went back to my Ray-Ban's and I'm still wearing the brand after more than 20 years.

Serengeti seems to have some of the longest temple arms in the business. Not sure why they don't offer at least a couple of different sizes.

My question is, do the Serengeti's you sell include the hard-shell case and the polishing cloth?

Seregenti's are the best. I am a pilot and am constantly looking for glasses that protect the true image of the environment and yet are not dark enough to obscure detail The drivers fit that bill. I owned the same Drivers for 20 years and have loved them. I just decided to geta new "more fashionable" pair yesterday (Coupe 6791) for about $130--a good investment already.
